Google Classroom, Photos, Calender

While trying to teach in the 21st century, we need to be able to adjust some of our classroom structures to fit the needs of our students. One of those ways is to use Google Classroom.

Google Classroom allows you to invite your students to an online structure of their classwork. Here is an example of my Google Classroom. In my Google Classroom I can add discussion questions, quizzes, resources, assignments, videos and reminders for my students. There are so many options for you to use it and all you need to do is to get your students connected to your Google Classroom. Another tool that you can add into your Google account that can benefit your classroom is Google Photos. Google photos is a location on your Google Account that lets you save and add any photos from online or of your own. You can create a library that you are able to share with your students or anyone else with a Google account. I created a Google Photo album of Ancient Egyptian photos that I shared with my students and it allows use to have discussions about those photos that we are learning about in Social Studies. Google Calendar is another great tool when using your Google Account. Google Calendar allows you to add any meetings, appointments, assignments, or events that are going on in your personal and work life. You can create multiple calendars that you can share separately. I was able to create a calendar that shows all of my works events, but then was able to create a personal calendar. I can share those with who ever I would like. There are many different tools in Google Calendar and here is a video to show you those tools.
