Google Drive
Want to connect, share, edit, talk, create? Google Drive supports all of those things that can make teaching, learning and exploring easy. Here are a few tips that stuck with me.
Google Docs:
Google Docs allows you to create a word like document but it allows you to do so much more with it. Google Docs is a document that you can share with anyone who has an email. One of the best uses with Google Docs is that you can easily share the document with those who have a google account and then they are able to see, edit and add to your document. You can also change it to where they cannot edit the document. This is a great resource for schools, teachers, and students. I use Google Docs often with my students. It allows for me to edit and even grade their papers. It is user friendly and a great tool with Google. Here is a video showing how to use Google Docs.
Google Slide:
Google Slides is like PowerPoint, but you are able to access it on any computer that is connected to Google. Google Slides are also friendly for those who are working with groups on creating a presentation. There can be multiple users on it and they can be working on different slides at the same time. You are also able to share the Google Slide with anyone. I have my students do most of their presentations through Google Slides so that no matter what computer they are on, they don't have to have their set documents. It helps them get to working on their project faster and more efficient.
Google Forms:
Google Forms is a way to create surveys or quizzes. I was very excited to learn how to use this source on Google Drive. I believe that this source can be used very often in your classroom and is easy to set up. You can see answers on an excel spread sheet and are able to collect data through the document as well. These can be shared through Google Drive or sent as a link.
Google Drawings:
Google Drawings allows you to create an image, graph or chart that you can then use in a document for your students. This video shows you a step by step way on how to create a graphic organizer. This tool lets you create the best drawing for your needs. Creating a graphic organizer can be frustrating, but Google Drawings makes it very easy and user friendly. Here is an image of what your organizer can look like.
